Great Truckee Meadows Community Clean Up

Help us cleanup Mother Earth! Join us on May 10 from 8:30 a.m. to Noon for the Great Truckee Meadows Community Cleanup.

KTMB is working with Washoe County, the Cities of Reno and Sparks, Reno-Sparks Indian Colony, BLM, USFS, Waste Management and many other agencies to coordinate this 3rd annual community wide cleanup. Following the cleanup there will be an appreciation picnic with lunch courtesy of Scolari’s, Pepsi and New Belgium Brewery, music provided by The X and raffle prizes!

Join us at one of the following site locations.  This is a focus on cleaning up our open spaces, so please do not bring personal waste to the cleanup site.

Directions to the Dolores Dr. Site
Take Pyramid Highway past Lazy 5 Regional Park, Dolores Dr. will be the 2nd road to the west after the park (Erin Dr. is the first). Take Dolores Dr. all the way to where the road “T” with Marie Way. The pavement will end before the road comes to the “T”. 

Directions to the Debussy Site
Take Sun Valley Dr. east past 7th Ave. take a Left on Debussy Dr.  Site is the open space to the left of the road.  There is a “No Dumping” sign at the site. Look for the green dumpsters.

Directions for the Eagle Canyon Site
Take Pyramid Highway to Eagle Canyon Dr., turn west towards Spanish Springs High School. The site is approximately 1.5 miles past Spanish Springs High School on the left.

Directions to the Sun Valley Site
Take Sun Valley Blvd. to Leon Dr. (between 7th Ave and Highland Ranch Pkwy) and turn north. Leon Dr. ends at Chimney Dr, turn north (left). Take Chimney Dr. until the pavement ends, look for the green dumpsters.

Directions for the Hungry Valley Site
Volunteers should meet on the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony Reservation at 990 Prairie Moon Ln.
