Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to creating a more sustainable and beautiful region through waste reduction, education and active community involvement. KTMB is an affiliate of the national organization Keep America Beautiful. Locally, we have been working for over 30 years with businesses, municipalities, community groups and individuals to keep our open spaces, the Truckee River, business corridors, and neighborhoods beautiful and clean for all to enjoy.

You can help KTMB keep the Truckee Meadows beautiful in so many ways. We are a privately funded non-profit, which means we rely on the community for support. We appreciate everyone who volunteers, and for those who want to do more or can’t volunteer for whatever reason, KTMB gladly accepts monetary support. There are several ways to help, including one-time or monthly recurring donations of any amount. Businesses can also sponsor programs that KTMB already does in our community, and our NEW “Love Where You Live” business sponsorship. We also need in-kind donations of various items for our various programs and cleanup efforts. You can learn more below or click on the donation box below. We appreciate your support in whatever form works best for you. Thank you!

Our Funding Priorities

Here at Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB), is dedicated to creating a more sustainable and beautiful region through waste reduction, education, and active community involvement.

Our current funding priorities are:

1. Education – We add educational information to our cleanup events so volunteers see the community impact of the work they are doing and understand it. We all know why litter is important to pick up, but helping people understand the impact to our water supply, or the impact of invasive weeds on our native species help people connect their volunteering to the overall health of our community.

2. Cleanups – harnessing the power of our dedicated community volunteers to remove litter and work on beautification projects around the Truckee Meadows.

3. Prevention – KTMB is dedicated to helping prevent the root causes of these environmental issues in our community. Through programs like Christmas Tree Recycling and the Illegal Dumping Task Force we are able to make changes to protect our region for future generations.

Contact Darcy Phillips at darcy@ktmb.org to talk more about these funding priorities and how to support them.

If you have questions or would like to learn more about supporting KTMB in any of these opportunities, please contact Darcy Phillips at darcy@ktmb.org or Chris Ewing at chris@ktmb.org or call (775) 851-5185.
