Darcy Phillips Executive Director

Darcy Phillips is a native Coloradan who adopted Nevada in 2013. Darcy holds a Master of Arts in anthropology with a concentration in non-profit management and has worked in educational, environmental, public health, and outreach organizations. Her passion for the outdoors shows in both her work and her play - she enjoys kayaking, hiking, gold panning, and visiting ghost town cemeteries with her husband. Darcy also plays classical piano and loves to paint. She looks forward to working within the community to keep the Truckee Meadows beautiful.

Chris Ewing Communications and Development Director

As the Communications and Development Director for KTMB, Chris posts all the information you need to know about what's happening at KTMB through our social media, email blasts, and marketing efforts. Chris studied Broadcast Journalism at UNR before spending serval years with his ear goggles strapped on, working and running radio stations in Reno and Las Vegas. A few years ago, he moved back to Reno and started his own marketing content business. When Chris isn't logged into the typewriter television for KTMB, he enjoys earning a living taking pictures, building websites, and taking long rides on his road bike.

Stephanie Gower Operations and Finance Manager

Stephanie has 20 years of experience in finance and management and started volunteering with KTMB over a decade ago. She has a bachelor's degree in Speech Communications with a minor in Business Administration from UNR. Stephanie has lived in the Truckee Meadows most of her life and has a deep appreciation and respect for nature and her community. She loves to spend time with her husband, two boys, and extended family; read; travel whenever she can; bake; and be outdoors. 

Kimberly Rios

As the Sustainability Education Program Manager, Kim is responsible for educating community members on the importance of living in a clean and beautiful area, as well as aiding businesses on their journey to becoming green! Prior to that, she obtained her degree in Environmental Policy from UNR in 2012, spent four years teaching overseas, and served as KTMB’s Education Coordinator AmeriCorps Vista. Apart from talking about trash, Kim enjoys running, yoga, and adventures with her husband, daughter and dog.

Sustainability Education Program Manager

Amanda Mullholland

Originally from Vegas, Amanda came to Reno to get her bachelor's in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from UNR. She has always had a passion for community service, completing three AmeriCorps terms, one at Urban Roots and two at the Nevada Department of Wildlife. In 2021 she received the Governor's Point of Light award from Nevada Volunteers for her program development at NDOW. She is now responsible for planning and coordinating KTMB's established volunteer programs, as well as maintaining and growing connections with our volunteers and community partners. In her free time she can be found birdwatching, reading, or playing dungeons and dragons with her friends.

Julia Zika

Julia earned her B.A. in Environmental Studies from Cal Poly Humboldt in 2018. Since graduating college, she has held administrative positions in the nonprofit sector, taught outdoor education, and completed two AmeriCorps service years. As Program Administrator, Julia manages KTMB’s electronic databases and grants. Additionally, she assists with fundraising and all things communication. In her free time, Julia enjoys composting, backpacking with her fiancé and dog, and taking naps.

Sensory Garden Curator (Part-time)

Lindsey Panton

Lindsey learned to love nature in her father’s garden in Scotland. She studied biology at the universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh and has experience in academic research and college teaching. Lindsey's family moved to Reno in 2003 and she joined KTMB in 2014 as an Americorps member. As a lifelong volunteer, she enjoys the opportunity to help Nevadans become more engaged with their community and learn about their local environment. She loves flower gardening, and her favorite projects are maintaining the Sensory Garden with the help of volunteers, and designing improvements for it. The Sensory Garden is her happy place.
