Project Date: Saturday, June 13th from 7 AM to 11 AM
Project Description: In collaboration with BLM and Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, we will be removing an illegal dumpsite on the hillside along I-80 between Vista and Lockwood Freeway Exits.
We will meet at 340 Salomon Circle for check-ins and a safety briefing, then volunteers will be transported by shuttle to the initial job site.
KTMB will provide all tools and safety supplies.
Difficulty Level: Moderate to Challenging - This project may be physically challenging as it requires volunteers to hike uphill on rocky terrain to each cleanup spot.
What To Bring/Wear:
If you have an ATV or Side by Side, please bring it with you. We need help transporting waste from the job site to the dumpsters.
Wear long pants, closed-toed shoes (boots if possible), and long sleeves.
Bringing a hat, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle is advised.
