Project Description: Pyramid Lake is a popular camping destination for the 4th of July. We are looking for volunteers to aid in cleaning up the beaches after the busy, holiday weekend on Wednesday, July 8th from 9 AM to 12 PM. Come enjoy a morning working alongside members of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe where we will travel to different beaches to collect litter. This is a family-friendly cleanup.
Meeting Location: We will meet at the Pyramid Lake Boat Ramp to go over details, then split up into groups to cleanup different spots of the lake.
Post-Cleanup Picnic: After the cleanup, there will be a small picnic hosted by the tribe to celebrate everyone's hard work. Volunteers who participate will be given a tribal permit so after the picnic they can stay and recreate on the lake for the day.
What to bring/wear: Volunteers should wear closed-toed shoes, pants, and dress for the weather. We advise wearing a hat, using sunscreen, and bringing a reusable water bottle. KTMB will provide all tools and supplies needed.
