KTMB Sustainability Series: Repair What You Wear

  • TMCC Meadowood Center 5270 Neil Road Reno, NV, 89502 United States (map)

Join KTMB for an interactive workshop where we will learn about the environmental impact of fast fashion and microplastic fibers, and how mindful consumption and repairing can contribute to a more sustainable future. This hands-on session will teach you waste reduction strategies along with essential mending techniques, including threading a needle, sewing buttons, fixing ripped seams and buckles, and some no-sew techniques.

Liz Wilson, our experienced facilitator, will provide step-by-step guidance, ensuring you leave with the confidence to tackle your own clothing repairs at home. The Patagonia Repairs Team will be there to provide hands-on support!

We will practice on pre-cut fabric canvases and have needles, thread, and other tools available for use, but feel free to bring your own tools.  Minors must have parent or guardian supervision. No prior sewing experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn and have fun!

Space is limited! Registration is required: sign up below to secure your spot!

This event is held in partnership with TMCC Student Life.
