KTMB’s Annual Great Community Clean-up Results
May 3rd, 2025

Over 800 volunteers came out to help make our Truckee Meadows community a cleaner and healthier place by participating in KTMB’s Annual Great Community Cleanup! Volunteers worked at 33 sites spread along the river from Verdi to Wadsworth and throughout the Truckee River watershed, removing invasive weeds, cleaning up illegal dump sites, stenciling storm drains, and tackling many other park beautification and cleanup projects. Ensuring litter, green waste, and other potentially hazardous items are properly disposed of creates a safer, healthier, and more beautiful community. Our efforts mitigate fire risk and protect the quality of our water by removing trash and hazardous waste from our river and surrounding tributaries. Preliminary results from today’s cleanup, listed below, show what our volunteers accomplished today!

We then treated our fantastic volunteers to an appreciation picnic with free food, drinks, games, and prizes! Thank you all for helping us Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful!
