It’s that time of year when we give thanks and express our appreciation, and Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful would not be as strong without each of you. The growth in our region has been significant, and with that growth comes the increased need for our work. Last year, your donations helped us educate over 5,600 students about the importance of their watershed and how to keep it healthy. You diverted nearly 10,000 Christmas trees from the landfill and then helped us spread the mulch at our local parks. You volunteered at clean-ups and removed over 175 tons of trash and green waste from our region. That is roughly equivalent to 40 elephants! We thank you for all you have done to make this happen in our community.

We all love this beautiful place, and being outside - on the river, hiking the hills, or playing in our wide open spaces - is so important. We need to bring about change by continuing to educate youth and adults, removing litter, and mobilizing to clear illegal dumpsites in the hills surrounding the Truckee Meadows. We can't do this work without you, and we need your continued support. We rely on financial support from generous people like you who care about keeping our community beautiful. Our goal is to raise $25,000, and Wells Fargo has kickstarted our annual giving campaign with a $10,000 donation to leverage community gifts!

  • $50 purchases 10 trash pickers we can loan to the community
  •  $100 purchases a box of graffiti removal product
  • $250 pays for our educators to inspire a classroom of 4th graders to care about their local environment
  • $625 pays for a dumpster at a clean-up
  • $1,000 pays for all expenses at a clean-up site, including gloves, tools, and green waste or trash dumpsters
  

Any amount helps with our day-to-day expenses, including internet access, electricity, and equipment maintenance.
