KTMB’s Truckee River Cleanup 2025 Wrap-up: Summary and Photo Gallery

A total of volunteers participated in KTMB's Truckee River Cleanup to help make our riverside spaces and watershed cleaner and healthier!

Volunteers worked at sites spread throughout the community: removing invasive weeds, picking up trash, cleaning up illegally dumped items from open space areas, repainting and staining, wrapping trees and planting trees to improve our urban tree canopy, and spreading yards of mulch to fortify local plantlife. Trash collected included yard waste, appliances, furniture, tires, and more. Ensuring these potentially hazardous items get disposed of properly not only creates a more beautiful community, but a safer and healthier one as well. Preliminary results from today show that tons of trash and tons of invasive weeds and green waste were removed during the cleanup.
