KTMB is working with City of Sparks Parks and Recreation for a cleanup at Rock Park on Saturday, March 16th from 9:00am to 1:00pm - Come for 20 minutes or stay the whole time.
Where: Meeting at Rock Park Picnic Shelter- 1515 S Rock Blvd, Sparks, NV 89431. Plenty of parking in the lot. Click HERE for Parking Directions.
Why: Rock Park, located along the Truckee River in Sparks, gets a lot of use and help with trash cleanup, weeding, and parking lot sweeping really helps get the park looking good for spring and summer.
How: KTMB will provide all the tools/supplies/snacks (trash grabbers, bags, gloves, rakes, shovels, etc.) and dispose of all the trash/debris. Volunteers are required to wear appropriate clothing and close-toed shoes. If you have work gloves, bring them; otherwise KTMB will supply them. Bring a water bottle. KTMB will provide all the rest. This project is recommended for participants age 6 and up.
